We are planning the big park festival again this year to benefit The Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas on October 13th! We will be gathering in the same great place at White Rock Lake with a lot of the same cool people for merriment, music and mutt kisses! Why: to benefit Weim Rescue of No TX and all the rescued animals find new homes! Also,to be with cool people and mutts.
Cost: Free to general public, dog lovers, cat lovers and groovy humans.
(Booths and Sponsorships available at a very low cost! If you are looking for THE happening place to be in the universe this October 13th, look no further. In addition to all the groovy artists, musicians, mutts, phat cats and fun-makers----we have the OUT OF THIS WORLD Frisbee Dogs coordinating their championship competition with the festival!!! YES! The Dallas Dog & Disc Club (www.dallasdogndisc.com ) will be joining us and holding their Championships at the event. Competition starts at 11 am! And, of course the mystics will be on hand to do their groovy stuff. ROBIN HUNT, the animal communicator will be on hand to connect with your pets. Sponsor, Metro Paws Animal Hospital will be reading Tarot Cards for you or your dog. Other mystical big dogs will be dropping in as well. The Henna Artists are going to be doing their cool thing too and of course, Amy Martin, the fabulous MOONLADY will be there to keep the moonpies spinning and the fun pumping :)! Our music will be rocking! It will be loud and festive! If you remember last year, you know what we are talking about. ANNIE BENJAMIN and her new band, ROCKET GIRLwill blow us away with their original songs and old favorites. And back again, an out of this world experience, The YA!YA Band! They will rock the house and you will love to move to the groove!!! We have another fabulous singer that will bring the park down too! KERRI ARISTA will be adding some cool vibes to our groovin' scene! Our music alone is a festival within a festival!!! |

The festival is all to benefit Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas! and every other dog or cat who is looking and hoping for their 'forever' homes. We started this event to help Weim Rescue meet some of it's financial needs and responsibilities. When I was looking for a therapy dog to help me work with individuals in my private practice---i happened upon the most intuitive soul in a dog suit that I could have imagined. He happened to have come into this world as a Weim. A battered history landed him in rescue where I was lucky enough to bump into this gentle spirit and take him home and into my heart. Three more weims followed. :) These wise, caring spirits could have been in any dog suit---mine just happened to be in Weim clothes. It is their spirit that leads them into our hearts. In honor of every animal spirit who needs to find a safe haven in a new home---we call on you to celebrate this day. We all will come together to spend time and share fun.
